Welcome to Children’s Religious Education

WHAT WE ARE EXPLORING

During the 2009 - 2010 School Year participants in our Religious Education Program will be exploring the Seven Principles of the Unitarian Universalist Association.

The Member congregations of the Unitarian Universalist Association Affirm and promote Seven Principles.

1 The inherent worth and dignity of every person

2 Justice, Equity and compassion in human relations

3 Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations

4 A free and responsible search for truth and meaning

5 The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large

6 The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all

7 Reverence for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part

Religious Education

Religious Education meets from 11:15 to 12:00 pm on Sundays.

Children between the ages of 4-18 meet to explore the Principle of the month.  Through interactive adventures in games, art, science, and comparative religion all children will be given the opportunity to learn about Our 7 Principles and how they can live them out in their lives.

Children and older youth get a lot out of being with those in other age groups—the little ones get "tall guys" to look up to, the older youth get opportunities to lead and to model, and community becomes much fuller.

Registration for the 2009-2010 RE year will begin August 23.  We will begin our explorations on September 6th, starting with our first principle - The inherent Worth and Dignity of every person.
